oh my goodness, this sweet family of four totally made my weekend. being a fairfax newborn photographer allows me to meet and work with some of the very sweetest families and this darling family is definitely one to remember. having welcomed their second child into their family one month ago, this sweet family was so excited to document some of the very first moments as a new family of four. upon arriving at their home and meeting their two year old little boy, they told me all about their new life as parents of two under two! while some moments have them scrambling in different directions, other moments are pure blissful and they are enjoying every second with their sweet children. as i was chatting with this gorgeous mama about how her son was adjusting to being a big brother, she was happy to tell me that he absolutely adores his little sister and simply cannot get enough of her. and this charming big brother definitely showed me how much he loves his tiny little sister as he looked at her with the sweetest eyes and gave her the gentlest of kisses. i literally thought my heart was going to melt as i watched him smooch her sweet cheek. just watching this family together made me so happy and editing their images made me smile even more as i recalled how much fun their session was. for many photographers, newborn sessions can be stressful, but mine tend to be full of fun and laughter. if there is anything i want from my clients, it is for them to remember being relaxed and happy during their photo session. and i just know this sweet family not only had a great time documenting their new family in portraits, but they are going to love their daughter’s newborn collection. i only hope that i can take even more photographs of these sweet kiddos as they grow and grow.

being a washington dc baby photographer is one of the best jobs ever because i get to photograph beautiful babies with their new families. most of the time i work with brand new families of three, but this time i had the pleasure of working with this darling family of five! i love photographing newborns with older siblings, there is an element of excitement in the air when working with brand new big sisters and brothers. and this family proved that right. this sweet baby girl is just two weeks old and is surrounded by a mommy, daddy, big brother, and big sister whom are all completely smitten by her. as her big brother tickled her toes and her big sister gently kissed her forehead, these sweet parents enjoyed some of their first moments as a new family of five. if there is one thing that i know for sure, it’s that this family is so blessed to have one another. their life ahead is going to be filled with days of laughter and happiness as these sweet babies grow and grow. working with this family was so much fun and i only hope to photograph even more of their special moments together as their little ones continue to grow.

one of the best things about being an alexandria baby photographer is that i get to watch my clients grow up. i get to meet my clients when they are days old and watch them turn into independent and happy little one year olds. when they were once cradled in their parents arms, they are now learning to walk and say the cutest baby babble ever. and it’s not just the babies who change throughout the first year, but it’s the parents as well. those nervous parents that i meet when their little one is newly home from the hospital are now more confident and enjoying every little thing that their baby does. okay, so they are still a little nervous. but all parents are. that is the story of this sweet family. i met them right after they became a brand new family of three and seeing them again as their little one reaches one year old was so much fun! while their little girl has definitely grown since i last saw her and she has changed so much, one thing has stayed the same…her parents completely adore her. they look at her with adoring eyes and genuinely enjoy every smile and every sound she makes. i think this family is simply the sweetest and i hope to photograph even more of their sweet moments as their little girl grows and grows.

the very best thing about being a washington dc newborn baby photographer is getting to watch brand new families in some of their very first moments together. and this family was simply darling. at just 17 days old, their little son is absolutely adored and you can tell by the way that this mama and daddy look at him that he has brought so much joy to their sweet family. as they cuddled and kissed their sweet boy, they told me their beautiful love story of how they met. just listening to them recount those days filled the room with so much love and this little boy is very blessed to have two very loving parents. from the moment i arrived, this little guy didn’t make one little peep. and the second he did, he was cuddled and fed and oh so happy again. he didn’t mind his very first photo session, as he charmed us with his sweet eyes during the first half and then cuddled close to his parents and slept through the second half. being a baby model is tiring, so he slept beautifully through the end of the session and simply let his parents swoon over him. i am so excited to show this family their very first family portraits and i hope to photograph even more of their sweetest family moments as their little boy grows and grows. if there is one thing i know for sure, it’s that this family is going to have a very happy life.

one of the best things about being an old town alexandria baby photographer is meeting brand new families. having a six month old baby myself, i was really excited to meet this sweet family of three with their six month old little boy. it’s always fun talking with new parents and trading new parent stories. and this mommy and daddy are sure loving everything about parenthood. between cuddling and kissing their sweet little boy, they looked at him with complete adoration in their eyes. just watching this sweet family together was so heartwarming and i can tell that they are simply the happiest. even though sometimes the days with little ones can seem long and tiring, it seems like the months just fly by and they grow in the blink of an eye. it’s so sweet to see a family cherishing every moment together. photographing this sweet family was so much fun and i hope to photograph even more of their special moments as a family as their little boy grows and grows.
